If your file reaches 100% of your memory limit, Figma will lock the file and inform you there's no available memory. This file has run out of browser memory. At this point, you'll need to restore a previous version of the file that used less memory: Open the project where the file is located.

How much RAM do you need for Figma?
Unlike many installable graphics editors, Figma doesn't need too much from your machine – neither 8GB RAM nor the best graphics card. At the same time, Figma has an impressive capacity, which allows you to work simultaneously with dozens of files without lagging and acting out.

Why is Figma running slow?
There can sometimes be a delay in loading your images in the Editor, or within your Prototypes. This can happen in files with a large number of high-resolution assets. Or when you're loading a large file with many assets for the first time. To improve loading performance, Figma stores images at different resolutions.
Where are Figma files stored?
